Flavor Paper

I discovered Brooklyn based wallcovering company Flavor Paper last month at Tent London. I really liked the eclectic mix of designs they had on offer and the quirky way they displayed it in hot air balloons floating on the walls of their stand.

Quilts and Liberty

It seems craft is becoming more and more cool each day, I went to the V&A museum to see the Quilts exhibition a couple of weeks ago- actually on the opening day! I have to say I loved the military quilts the best and I love to think of the soldiers sitting their making them in their down time between fighting for freedom. There is also some work by Tracey Emin who, in hindsight, was quite a pioneer, she was making quilts or blankets to express her (sometimes controversial) opinions and feelings when it was totally unfashionable.
Liberty prints seem to be everywhere at the moment too and they have launched a limited edition range based on some of the quilts in the exhibition. I really like the 'Red hearts' print, check out the collection here.
